Conventional valves
Analysis and proper selection of valves is one of the key requirements for reliable operation of a water or wastewater system . Selection criteria of valves includes capacity, pressure loss, controllability, torque, cavitation and transients. Properly selected and designed valves for water supply systems must have good hydraulic performance, reliable operation, reasonable initial cost and low maintenance cost.
Control Valves
Control valves are used to maintain a process variable as close as possible to the desired set point. Controller set points are typically flow rate and pressure. Control valves are used to control fluid flow by varying the size of the flow passage as directed by a signal from a controller.
